On the eve of Marathwada Liberation Day celebrations in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Eknath Shinde, in the presence of political leaders, district administrative officers, and Municipal Commissioner Shri. G. Sreekanth, along with other Corporation officers released the draft water policy for the city.

The policy lays out a methodical and time bound plan to accomplish the goal of reducing the consumption of fresh water, recycling wastewater, and entirely reusing treated wastewater by 2040. The policy is based on 3R’s principal (reduce, recover, and restore of water).
